Blockchain
ABSTRACT
Did you ever try to send money from one country to another? If yes, you have suffered the prolonged pain of first figuring how to do it, second accepting the extremely outrageous transaction fees and third the stressful days of waiting for the transaction to be effectively executed. Have you ever bought an organic product but doubt about its precedence without having any way to be sure it is effectively organic? Moreover, real estate transactions require on a great variety of intermediaries (e.g. public notary, lawyers, public property registry) that rely on physical documents and the trust on the intermediaries to keep the integrity and availability of the transaction record for as long as it is needed. The latter is also true for every other transaction that relies on a contract between the interested parties that ill be intervened by several intermediary agents (e.g. lawyers, regulatory agencies). All these previously described situations could be easily solved by a new technology introduced around 10 years ago: Blockchain.
